Entertaining your kids can be a tricky business at the best of times, and it’s even more difficult during the holidays. We’ve come up with some fun ideas for kids of all ages to enjoy whilst the adults have some me-time this Christmas.
Hire an entertainer
If you’re holding a Christmas party for adults and want to keep the kids entertained, why not hire a childrens entertainer Essex to captivate and excite them for the duration of the party? A children’s entertainer can include magic shows, balloon modelling, mini discos and bubble machines to the event, and ensure children have the best time!
Get creative and get kids decorating their bedrooms and playrooms with bunting, angel paper chains and glittery snowflakes. Crafting decorations will keep them entertained and allow their creative side to shine through.
Create Christmas cards
You may have already bought your Christmas cards, but kids will love making their own before posting them to all their school friends. Set up a craft station with pre-cut multi coloured card, sequins and stickers, and invite their friends over to join the creative card fun!
Bake some Christmas goodies
It may get messy and take twice as long, but cooking with kids at Christmas is certainly good fun! Make beautiful gingerbread houses, Christmas cakes and chocolate bites. There are loads of simple recipes that you can help children make that don’t require the use of an oven, like chocolate crispy bars that can be chilled in the fridge.
Christmas movie marathon
If you’re holding a chilled adults evening, set a relaxed scene for the children too. Create a little party buffet and create a cosy den with cushions, blankets and throws. Have the children choose which Christmas film they would like to watch and dim the lights, ready for a relaxing Christmas film night!
There are plenty of things for children to do this Christmas to keep them entertained!
